473 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND TEDBALL, Kenneth James “Ken” Kenneth was born in Thedford, Ontario, Bosanquet Township on May 15, 1917. He was the eldest of the family. He enlisted in the Army on January 10, 1940 and served until February 8, 1941, being discharged due to health issues. Ken returned to the family farm and passed away on February 1, 1943. TETZLAFF, Robert Theodore Robert was born on July 25, 1942 in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. He enlisted in the Canadian Army on March 20, 1962 at #9 Pers Depot in Regina, SK and went into Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers as a vehicle technician. After basic training in Edmonton andWainwright and trades training in Kingston, he served in Calgary, Germany, Rivers, Edmonton, Downsview and Kingston. In 1967, Bob got out of the Army and joined the RCAF remaining in the vehicle technician trade. He retired from the military after 24 years on July 25, 1986 and went to work as a civilian vehicle technician in Kingston at Base Maintenance. Bob is now retired from the Civil Service and living in Lanark Highlands, Lanark, Ontario. He is a 28-year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 491 in Seeley’s Bay, Ontario. TEETZEL, Wilbert Nelson “Bert” Bert was born in Bosanquet Township near Thedford, Ontario in 1912. He was the son of Roy and Mabel Teetzel. Bert enlisted in the Army in 1943. He was injured, losing his eye and recovered in hospital in England. After his discharge in 1946, Bert worked in London for the White Machine and Truck Company. Later he bought a Feed Mill in Wilkesport and worked until his health failed with Parkinson Disease. Bert returned to Thedford to live with and take care of his mother. He passed away in 1970.
