455 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND ST. GERMAINE, Charles W. M. Charles, the son of John and Lillian St. Germaine was born in Rama First Nation. He enlisted in the Army during World War II with the South Saskatchewan Regiment RCIC. He was killed in action in Belgium on September 16, 1944 and is buried in Adegem Canadian War Cemetery, Belgium. STACEY (MELLEMSTRAND), Lynne Irene Lynne was born onApril 20, 1938 in Hardisty, Alberta and grew up inAmisk, Alberta. She graduated from Physiotherapy in the fall of 1958 from the University of Alberta in Edmonton. She worked in Saskatoon City Hospital in Saskatoon, SK and joined the RCAF in the Medical Corps on January 22, 1959 and was honourably released on December 3, 1962. She married Frank Stacey in October 1962 and has travelled with him to Germany, Gimli, Penhold, Holberg and finally to Ottawa. While stationed in Zweibrücken, Germany, Lynne worked as a Civilian in the Armed Forces Hospital for four years. She became a member of the Orleans Branch 632 of The Royal Canadian Legion about twenty years ago and has been a supporting member ever since. ST. JOHN, Joseph Ivan Ivan was born in Joliette, Quebec on November 11, 1923. He enlisted with the Air Force on November 13, 1941 with the 411 Squadron. He was seriously wounded in Holland in 1945 when his Spitfire crashed. He recovered in East Grinstead, England becoming a member of the Guinea Pig Club. Ivan served in Canada, Holland and England during World War II and was discharged on August 30, 1945. Later, after moving to Newmarket, he was active in Air Cadets and Minor Hockey. Ivan passed away on September 10, 1976.
