379 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND PARKER, Murray Noah Murray was born in Windsor Mills, Quebec on April 11, 1929. He enlisted in the Army in 1943 and served with the 8th Hussars in Canada as a Reservist. He was an instrumentation supervisor after 1970 reaching the rank of Lt. Col. and had a full life until 86 years of age. He passed away on May 1, 2017 at the age of 88 from PSP that his family think was the result of doing manoeuvres in Gagetown during the Agent Orange incident. Murray was a Royal Canadian Legion member of Leroy- Belle Ewart Branch 547 for seven years. PARSONS, Daniel L. Daniel was born on January 29, 1930 in Cobourg, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army on September 3, 1953 with the 33rd Med. Battery. He served as Gunner, Bandsman and Bugler in Canada until his discharge on March 1, 1958. He then worked at Robson Lang Ltd. as a Purchase Agent. He is a Royal Canadian Legion Life Member of Cobourg Branch 133. PARR, Sherman William Sherman was born on May 17, 1892 in Brigden, Ontario, son of William G. and Sarah Hayward. He was an Electric Lineman working in the US and enlisted in Detroit; he was transferred to London, ON in 1918. He served with the 4th B.D.E and 19th Battalion in France, Belgium and Germany and kept a daily diary of movements before being discharged on May 24, 1919. In 1924 he married Gladys ElizabethAiken at Brigden. He took over Parr’s meat market with his brother Clinton until it was sold in 1945. He remained in the cattle business until his death in 1964.
