341 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND McLAY, Angus Angus was born on January 5, 1894 in the Township of Lindsay, County of Bruce, Ontario. On March 3, 1916 while living in Stokes Bay, Bruce County, Ontario, Angus enlisted in the 160th Bruce Battalion, CEF and served in France as Sapper. He was discharged on March 29, 1919 and he returned home. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Lion’s Head Branch 202. Angus passed away during the year of 1960 and is buried in the Stokes Bay Cemetery. McLELLAN, Gordon Keith Gordon was born in Perth County, Ontario on May 30, 1910. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1942 and served in England duringWorldWar II. On May 15, 1944 his plane was shot down by a German fighter plane and Gordon was killed. He is buried in Harrowgate Cemetery in England. McLAY, John John was born on January 5, 1894 in the Township of Lindsay, County of Bruce, Ontario. On April 4, 1916 while living in Stokes Bay, County of Bruce, Ontario he enlisted in the 160th Bruce Battalion, C Company, CEF and served in Europe. Private John McLay transferred to 1st Battalion, Canadian Engineers, CEF following the breakup the 160th Battalion in February 1918. Eventually he was discharged from the Army on May 27, 1919. John returned home and was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Lion’s Head Branch 202. He passed away on April 14, 1979 and is buried in the Stokes Bay Cemetery.
