255 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND JACKLIN, Angela Marlene Angela was born on January 8, 1961 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Angela joined the reserve on June 4, 1978 as a Communicator and served with 738 Communication Regiment in Winnipeg and 741 Communication Squadron in Victoria before transferring to the regular Air Force in October 1986 where she re-mustered to FIN RMS Clerk and served with the Navy at seas. She was discharged on March 10, 2014. She retired in 2014 as a MWO and was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration with two Bars. She is a five-year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Kanata Branch 638. JACKSON, Elvin Jule Elvin was born in Coe Hill, Ontario on July 25, 1926. He was seventeen in 1944 when he joined the military in Toronto, as he was too young he required his mother’s signature. He trained at Camp Borden, World War II took him to England, Scotland, Germany and Holland serving in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps. Elvin was killed in action on April 28, 1945 and was buried in a temporary cemetery in Wirdum, Holland. Later his body was transferred to the Holten Cemetery in Holten, Holland. The school children maintain the site. JACKLIN, Christopher Gerald Christopher was born on May 5, 1965 in Sudbury, Ontario. He joined the regular force as a FIN RMS Clerk and transferred to the reserve in March 1992 as a member of the 744 Communication Regiment. In January 1997 he rejoined the regular force. In 2002 he was a member of the Canadian contingent which won the shield at the Nijmegan March. He was medically released in 2010 as a PO2 and awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration with one Bar. He served in Canada and on the High Seas until his discharge on December 10, 2010. He is a ten-year member of The Royal Canadian Legion Kanata Branch 638.
