239 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND HOBBS, Keith Chadwick Keith was born in Kings Norton, England on October 23, 1929. He enlisted in the Navy in 1946 and served on the HMS Theseus, HMS Gamecock and HMS Seahawk. Keith was discharged in 1954 having served in England. He married Stephanie Merfield. He worked for Rolls Royce and when he retired he was a director. He brought his family to Canada on January 6, 1967. Keith was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion in Greenfield Park and passed away in May 2007. HOBBS (MERFIELD), Stephanie J. Stephanie was born in Eltham, England on January 23, 1931. She enlisted in the Navy on July 25, 1950. She served on the HMS Seahawk and HMS Gamecock in England. Stephanie was discharged on December 22, 1953. She married Keith Hobbs and had six children. They brought them all to Canada on January 6, 1967. She is a sixteenyear member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 133 in Cobourg. HOBBS, Nicholas Ian Nicholas was born on July 2, 1958 in Coventry, England. He enlisted in the Navy in 1975 and served on HMCS Ottawa as a Diver, Demolitions. He served on the Canadian East Coast as a Peacekeeper and was discharged in 1980. Nicholas passed away on April 26, 2003.
