449 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND TOMBS, Lloyd Albert Lloyd was born in Hamilton, Ontario on July 21, 1926. He enlisted in the Army in January 1943 with the Canadian Parachute Corps, 1st Airborne Paratrooper. On his last training jump in Manitoba, Lloyd was injured and never made it overseas. He was in the hospital until wars end. He was discharged in October 1945. He has been a member of the Legion Branch 226 for thirty years. TREUSCH, Henry Henry was born on January 4, 1887, brother of C. Treusch of Waterloo, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army on August 23, 1915 and was attached to the Royal Canadian Regiment. Private Henry Treusch was killed in service on September 17, 1916 and is commemorated on page 174 of the First World War Book of Remembrance and is buried in the Contay British Cemetery in Somme, France. TRENHOLM, Lyle W. D. Lyle was born on June 27, 1922 in Cape Spear, New Brunswick. He enlisted in the Army on November 20, 1942 during World War II with the C Proc Militar, RCEME – the Military Police. He took German Prisoners to concentration camps in Lethbridge, Alberta. He served in Cape Breton, NS, Camp Borden and Debert, NS. Prior to his enlistment Lyle was employed at the Canadian Car and Foundry helping build the Canadian Anson Aircraft which was used to train aircrew. After his discharge in 1946, Lyle and his father built a 53 foot fishing and pleasure boat. He served as a Police Constable in Sackville, NB. He re-enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1954 as a Gun Mechanic, Weapons Technician and Machinist serving in Canada, Germany and did a peacekeeping tour in Cyprus. He was discharged in November 1972. He has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion for 32 years.
