441 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND TAYLOR, Hunt W. Hunt was born on May 25, 1917. He enlisted in the Army on May 21, 1942 with the Regina Rifle Regiment, rank C.Q.M.S. He served in Canada, England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany during World War II. He was discharged on February 6, 1946. He is decorated with Commander in Chiefs Certificate, the France and Germany Star, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the 1939-1945 Star. He was past President of the Legion Branch 426 and was a Charter Member. He received Life Membership with the Legion. Hunt passed away on August 25, 1999. TESCHKE, Harry A. Harry was born in Sullivan Township on November 30, 1915. He enlisted in the Army in July 1942 with the Medical Corps. Harry was a Private in the 6th Field Dressing Station in England and Continental Europe during World War II. He married Marjorie Miller before going overseas on December 24, 1942. He was discharged on February 15, 1946. He had a family of six children, Karen, Douglas, Daryl, Robert, Karla and Allan. Harry worked with G.A. Miller Implement Shop and the RCA Ltd. Harry was the Secretary-Treasurer of the Tara Legion for over fifteen year and member for 27 years. He was a member of the United Church. Harry passed away on April 17, 1973 and is buried in Hillcrest Cemetery in Tara. TAYLOR, Peter Howard Peter was born on January 21, 1930 in Bridgetown, Anna Co, Nova Scotia. He enlisted in the Army in September 1950. He served with the Royal Canadian Regiment in Korea, Palestine, Golan Heights, Vietnam and Germany for three tours. He was discharged in January of 1985. On June 10, 1960 he was awarded Certificate on the occasion of his 100th parachute decent from an aircraft in flight. Peter is a Life Member of the RCR Association. He has been a member of the Legion Branch 593 Bells Corner for 28 years.
