419 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND SHULTIS, Harvey Kenneth Harvey was born on October 6, 1922 in Rockwood, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army in London, ON on January 4, 1944 and served with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, 1st Battalion during World War II. He did basic training in Chatham, gas tests in Ottawa and went overseas on September 1, 1944. He went fromWhitley Camp in England to Calais, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. They were over the border into Hochwald Forest when he received a severe head injury. After months in hospitals he was finally discharged in November 1944. After the war, he managed and worked the family farm near Rockwood. Harvey passed away on May 31, 2002. SIMCOE, Benjamin Benjamin was born in Peterborough, Ontario on January 1, 1891. He enlisted in the Army on January 20, 1916 and served with the 177th Overseas Battalion and 116th Battalion in Canada, France and England during World War I. He married Delina Agnes Joe, mother of Rama Veterans, Howard and Ernest. Rama’s most decorated soldier, Benjamin received the Military Bar for bravery in the field. He was discharged in July 1919. SHUTTLEWORTH, Robert S. Robert was born in Sault Ste. Marie on March 31, 1946. He enlisted in the Army on May 4, 1964 and served with the PPCLI and Canadian Airborne in Germany, Cyrus and Canada as a Peacekeeper. He was discharged in May 1972. He has been a member of Stony Plains Legion Branch 256 for eight years.
