373 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND READ, James James was born on June 19, 1881 in Norwich, England. He enlisted in the Army on November 1, 1915 and served with the 18th Infantry PT. of 116 BN Canadian Expeditionary Force 4th Brigade during World War I in France. James was discharged on August 30, 1917. On return to civilian life he worked as a caretaker at Port Perry Post Office and the Anglican Church. He was injured in Battle and had a limp on his return. James passed away on November 29, 1950. REAMSBOTTOM, Neil Alfred Neil was born on July 10, 1915 in Haileybury, Ontario and grew up in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force at 28 years of age on September 7, 1943 for the duration of the War. He was trained as a Navigator, bomber and served in Canada. After his discharge on September 4, 1945, he relocated to Regina, Saskatchewan and was employed as an Electrician until retirement. Neil passed away on February 24, 2000 at the age of 85. He was a member of the Legion in Regina. REAMSBOTTOM, Alfred Lee Lee was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario on September 19, 1939. At seventeen he enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy on October 4, 1956. He was stationed in Halifax, Nova Scotia for a five year term during Peacetime. He served on the HMCS Lanark, Sioux and as Leading Seaman on HMCS Kootenay and was trained Radar Technician. After his discharged on October 4, 1961, Lee was employed and stationed on the Pine Tree Defence Line (Radar Stations); further advancements as Senior Technical Computer Specialist in Western Canada with Xerox/Honeywell. Lee passed away on January 2, 2017.
