367 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND POULIN, Rolland Conrad Rolland was born on October 28, 1922 in St. Sabine Bellechasse, Quebec. He joined the Army in 1942 during World War II with the Essex Scottish Regiment. He served as Corporal in Canada, England and Holland and was discharged in 1946. Rolland received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal and 1939-1945 Star. After returning to civilian life Rolland worked for a local forestry company and remained there until his retirement. Rolland passed away on November 4, 1968. PRINGLE, Terence Terence was born in London, England on January 12, 1944. He enlisted in the Army on March 8, 1961 and served in Regular Force as a Peacekeeper until December 18, 1987 with the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals, CFB Petawawa, CFB Kingston, CFB Lahr and CFB Edmonton and Ottawa. He served with the Reserves from August 1990 until January 1999. He was a member of 2 Sig Sqn. airborne sig. TP. While serving as a member of 1 line troop, he was employed throughout Canada, Europe, the Middle East, North West Territories and Bermuda. He is now retired and living in Pembroke with his wife Faye. He has been a member of the Legion Branch 72 Pembroke for 51 years. PRINCE, Thomas J. Thomas was born in Hamilton, Ontario on May 13, 1938. He enlisted in the Army on July 26, 1956 as a Peacekeeper and served in Canada, Gaza and Cyprus. Can Army- Queen’s Own Rifles of Canada and RCSIGS. Thomas’ accomplishments include R&TG OP, GP 111 and Leading Infantryman GP 111. His specialities include: basic training Instructor, Small arms Instructor, Drill Instructor and Detachment Commander. He participated in quelling of the Kingston Penitentiary riot and the FLQ uprising in Montreal. He served with United Nations in Egypt and Cyprus. He was honourably discharged in February 1972. He was married twice later to be divorced and separated. Thomas has two children, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He retired at seventy years of age and lives in Stony Creek, Ontario. He has been a member of Battlefield Legion Branch 622 and for 22 years.
