359 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND PELLETIER, Andrew Ferdinand “Chum” Andrew was born in Waubaushene, Ontario on January 11, 1898. He attended school only until grade two. He was self-educated up to joining the Army on May 23, 1916 with the 177 Battalion Simcoe Foresters. He served in England and France during World War I. Upon returning in 1918 he furthered his education and joined Canada Steamship Lines sailing the Great Lakes until retiring in 1965. He had two daughters and passed away on March 16, 1989. He was a member of the Legion in Victoria Harbour. PERRYMAN, Allan Earl Allan was born in Acton Ontario on September 16, 1921. He was a farmer with his dad until he enlisted in the Army in November of 1942 with the Toronto Scottish Regiment. His father was in Army in Haileybury, Ontario in 1915. He also had a brother serving in Italy. Allan landed in France on D Day. He was killed in action on August 5, 1944 in France at 22 years of age. PEPE, Michele Angelo “Mike” Mike was born in Peterborough, Ontario on December 2, 1917. Mike served in Canada with the RCMP. He celebrated his 100th birthday at the Port Elgin Legion Branch 340 where he has been a member for 53 years.
