329 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND MUIR, Earl A. Earl was born in Chesley, Ontario in 1915. He enlisted in the Army on September 29, 1939 with Perth Regiment. He served in England, Italy and Northern Europe during World War II. He was discharged on August 22, 1945. He was President of the Linden, Alberta Royal Canadian Legion Branch for a few years where he was a member. Earl passed away in 1980. MUMBY, William C. “Bill” Bill was born in Deloro, Ontario on July 21, 1926. He enlisted on February 15, 1945 and was stationed in Shilo with the artillery. He served in Canada during World War II. Following the end of the war, he was discharged in March 1946 and returned to Marmora where he still lives and is active in his church. MUIR, Roy G. Roy was born in Chesley, Ontario in 1922. He enlisted in the Army and served with the Royal Regiment in England and France during World War II. Roy was a part of the Dieppe Raid. He lost an arm and was a Prisoner of War. He was a member of the Byron-Springbank Legion Branch 533 in London, Ontario. Roy passed away in 1989.
