463 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND QUINN, Lloyd G. Lloyd was born in McKellar, Ontario on September 17, 1924. He enlisted in the Air Force in 1943 and served with the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion in Canada, England, Netherlands and Germany during World War II. He has been a member of Kapuskasing Legion Branch 85 and Sault Ste. Marie Legion Branch 25 totalling over 60 years. Lloyd passed away on September 17, 2010. RANSBURY, John W. John was born in Tobermory, Ontario on November 12, 1903. He enlisted in the Air Force on July 22, 1941 and served with the Marine Division – Air Sea Rescue in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia during World War II. Corporal Ransbury was medically discharged on April 26, 1944 due to back injuries and spent the next several months in hospital in London. After returning to Tobermory, he operated the Ransbury Fish Company and later, along with his brother, he built one of the first motels in Tobermory. John also built a Guide Boat, and was a tour guide for fishing parties. His medals include the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the 1939-45 War Medal. He was a member of Tobermory Legion Branch 290. John passed away in July 1973. RABIDOUX, Ethan G. Ethan was born on March 18, 1983 in Stratford, Ontario. He enlisted in the Navy on April 28, 2006. He served in the Canadian Forces Naval Reserve through HMCS Cataraqui in Kingston, Ontario. He joined as he was finishing his studies at Queen’s University. Ethan was discharged on March 12, 2008.
