461 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND PROCTOR, Robert “Bob” Robert “Bob” Proctor was born on January 8, 1926 in County Down, Northern Ireland and moved to Canada in 1929-30 and settled in Fergus, Ontario. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy on July 5, 1944 in Hamilton, Ontario, on HMCS Star. He then began basic training in Winnipeg, Manitoba. After training, he was stationed in Cornwallis, Nova Scotia. He boarded the frigate HMCS La Hulloise and assigned convoy duty out of Halifax, Nova Scotia patrolling the North Atlantic Ocean. Robert was discharged on April 15, 1946. He currently resides in Fergus, Ontario with his wife, Annie, of 64 years. He is a loyal seventy-year service member and Annie is a fifty-year service member of Elora Legion Branch 229. PULSIFER, Ralph Richardson Ralph was born in Wittenburg, Nova Scotia on September 8, 1912. He enlisted in the Army in 1942 and served with No. 20 CA (B) D.C. (The Lorne Scots) in Brantford, Petawawa and Truro during World War II. Ralph trained recruits before being shipped out for active service. He was called up on three different occasions to be shipped overseas and each time his posting was cancelled. Ralph was discharged in 1945 at the rank of Lance Corporal and was awarded the Defence Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. He was a member of Kapuskasing Legion Branch 85 for over thirty years. Ralph passed away on June 10, 1999. PROKOPICH, Michael Michael was born in Niza Vladvca, Czechoslovakia on November 14, 1922. He enlisted in the Army in 1939 and served with the Royal Canadian Regiment, 17th Platoon, 4001 Section, D Company in Canada, United Kingdom and continental Europe during World War II. Michael was wounded twice, once in the leg and again through the lung during fighting at Merxem (near Antwerp). He was discharged in 1945 and was awarded the 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Defence Medal, and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion. Michael passed away on July 24, 1954.
