He served with the RC Sea Cadets (Weston, ON) from 1953 to 1956, the Queen’s York Rangers (Toronto, ON) from 1957 to 1959 and the HMCS York in (Toronto, ON) from 1959 to 1961 during Peacetime. Ivan has been a member of Peninsula Legion Branch 489 for 42 years. OSBORNE, Steven S. Steven was born in Golden Burgh, Ontario on June 14, 1922. He enlisted in the Army on May 19, 1942 and served with the Royal Canadian Medical Corps in England, France, Germany, Holland and Belgium during World War II. He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp. Steven belonged to Masons in Thessalon, Ontario. OSBORNE, George R. George was born in Marmora, Ontario on January 14, 1918. He enlisted in the Army on August 17, 1940 and served in Canada, Scotland, England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany during World War II. He was discharged on October 23, 1943. He has been a member of Marmora Legion Branch 237 for over seventy years and has continued to tag during poppy campaign up until six years ago.
