He enlisted in the Army on July 24, 1952 and served with the Royal Canadian Regiment in Canada, Korea, Cyprus, Germany, Holland and Belgium. He was Chief of Staff with CO 1 RCR, Secretary NATO Military Committee for CFE, Commander in the Northern Region. He has a total of 52 years of service in the Regular Forces, Militia and as an Honourary and was awarded the CD and four bars. John was discharged on April 11, 1988. He has been a member of Dr. W. C. (Bill) Little M. M. Legion Branch 147 for 24 years. HENDERSON, Burton Richard Burton was born in Petrolia, Ontario on October 9, 1909. He enlisted in the Army and served in Canada and in Alaska for two or three years during World War II. He had 2 stripes and was a Corporal. Burton had two brothers who also served in the Canadian Army: Raymond and Robert Henderson. Burton passed away on June 6, 1969. HEGADOREN, Russell J. Russell was born in Lake St. Peter, Ontario on December 25, 1925. He enlisted in the Air Force in July 1943 and served as a tail gunner in the Hanley Page Halifax Bomber, No. 4 Group Bomber Command, #102 Squadron in Pocklington, Yorkshire, England and in Canada during World War II. He was discharged in 1945. Russell has been a member of Marmora Legion Branch 237 for twenty years.
