501 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND WHITTER, Edward John Alexander Edward was born in Greenbank, Ontario on June 8, 1926. He enlisted in the Army on June 16, 1944 and served with the Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps in Canada during World War II. He was discharged on April 12, 1946. Edward was a member of the Port Perry Legion Branch 419 for 43 years before he passed away on April 19, 1993. WILLIAMS, Raymond F. Raymond was born in Chatham, Ontario on April 21, 1922. He enlisted in the Army on August 27, 1942 and served in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany with the 3rd North Nova Scotia Highlander during World War II. Raymond was discharged on March 26, 1946. He received the France and Germany Star, Defence Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. He was a member of the Hon. Ray Lawson Branch 28 for 55 years. Raymond passed away on July 22, 2002. WICKENS, Terence Terence was born in Northampton England on October 17, 1932. He enlisted in the Army on February 1, 1951 and served with the Royal Signals in Germany, Egypt, Cyprus and Libya, as well as Korea during the Korean War. Although Terence was discharged on February 1, 1956, he was recalled for active service from August to December 1956 during the Suez Crisis. Terence was President of the Ontario Region KVA for three terms and National President KVA for two terms. He was awarded the Queen’s 50th Jubilee Medal in 2002, Queen’s 60th Jubilee Medal in 2012 and the Order of Diplomatic Merit by the President of Korea in 2011. Terence has been a member of Sir Sam Hughes Legion Branch 67 in Lindsay for 27 years.
