401 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND PARRINDER, Frank M. Frank was born on January 26, 1921. He enlisted in the Army in November of 1942. He served in France and Holland with the Winnipeg Riffles during World War II. He was discharged in July of 1945. Frank is a member of the Brooklin Legion Branch 152. PATERSON, Ross A. Ross was born on October 25, 1924 in Lucknow, Ontario. He enlisted in the Army with the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals in January of 1942. He served with the 8th Army Field Regiment and the 19th Army Field Regiment in Canada, England, France, Belgium and Holland during World War II. Ross returned to Canada in December of 1945 after marrying his bride from Scotland, Margaret. Ross was a past president of the Ontario Command. He received his Meritorious Service Medal with Palm Leaf for his service. He also received the Defence Medal, C.V.S.M. and Clasp, 1939 – 1945 Star and the France and Germany Star. The regiment he was in took part in the D-Day Invasion. His name is registered on the Juno Beach Memorial. Ross was a member of the Legion Branch 85 for more than 60 years. He was also a Life Member of the Signallers Club in Kingston, Ontario and a councillor for the Town of Kapuskasing for 22 years. Ross passed away on October 1, 2007. PARRY, George T. George was born on December 23, 1921. He enlisted with the Air Force on June 19, 1942. He served in Canada, England, France and Holland during World War II. He was discharged on November 7, 1945.
