381 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND NELSON, Keith Keith was born in Arran Township, Ontario and served in Dispatch with the Army. He enlisted in 1943 and was killed in action as a result of a motorcycle accident. Keith passed away on August 6, 1945. Keith is buried in Brookwood Military Cemetery in Surrey England. NESBITT, Harold E. Harold was born on December 22, 1918 in North Bay, Ontario. He served in England during World War II as a Warrant Officer with the 7th R.A.F. Squadron. He was in the Pathfinder crew as a rear Gunner. Harold was killed in action on April 11, 1943 in Germany and is buried in a mass grave in Luxenburg. NELSON, Lorne W. Lorne was born in Swan River, Manitoba on January 30, 1930. Lorne became a trained rifleman and served in the Canadian Army Reserve Force from December 6, 1949 to August 22, 1950. Seven days later, on August 29, he joined the 3rd Battalion of Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry. The next four years, Sergeant Nelson saw service in Canada and in the United States. For service in Korea, he served as a medic transporting the critically wounded. He was awarded the Korean Medal and the United Nations Service Star. He was honourably released in 1954. He and his wife had five children.
