313 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND MARSH, Wayne H. Wayne was born in Peterborough on October 5, 1939. He enlisted in the Army on January 29, 1957 and served at CFB Penhold with 406 Sqn Saskatoon, 424 Sqn, 426 Sqn, 436 Sqn, 437 Sqn and 407 Sqn in Canada and in the Middle East 116 ATV. He was discharged on August 11, 1988. He was awarded the Flight Safety Award, First Non Commissioned Base Flight Safety Officer, CD with two Bars, UNEFME and Canadian Forces Peacekeeping Medal. Wayne has been a member of the Legion Branch 387 for six years and of Branch 328 for two years. MARSHALL, Frederick W. Frederick was born in Cobourg on July 11, 1925. He enlisted in the Navy on July 13, 1943 and served during World War II in Canada, England and France with the R.C.N.V.R. He was discharged in April of 1946. Frederick was awarded the 1939 – 1945 Star, France and Germany Star with Atlantic Bar, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Maple Leaf Bar, Overseas Service War Medal 1939 – 1945 and was commissioned by the Normandy Veterans Association. He was a member of the Cobourg Legion Branch for 42 years. Frederick passed away on December 15, 2001. MARSHALL, Arnold A. Arnold was born in Cobourg on November 19, 1921. He enlisted in the Army on July 18, 1940 and served with the Royal Canadian Artillery in the United Kingdom, Continental Europe and the Central Mediterranean. He was discharged on October 29, 1945. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, 1939 – 1945 Star, Italy Star, France and Germany Star and the Defence Medal. Arnold was a member of Legion Branch 133 before he passed away on April 15, 2010.
