225 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND HILL, George S. George was born in Nairn, Scotland on October 11, 1927. After serving in the Royal Observer Corps as a teen during World War II, George enrolled in Scotland’s Seaforth Highlanders in 1946. He served in the Middle East Land Forces in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Suez, and Cyprus. Heading to the Far East Land Forces, he served in Borneo, but mainly in Malaya. His skills earned him a spot with 22 Special Air Squadron. George has earned the UK’s General Service Medal and Clasp and also earned the Pingat Jasa Malaysia Medal for service in the Far East. After immigrating to Canada, George spent 8 years in the Canadian Army Reserves. He was discharged on December 22, 1953. George has been a member of Fred Gies Legion Branch 50 for 59 years. HILLS, Keith Keith was born on April 19, 1919 in Arran Township, Ontario. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1941. He served as Flying Officer and Navigator during World War II. Keith was killed in action and is buried in Brookwood Military Cemetery in Surrey, England. HILL, Norman J. Norman was born in Bashaw, AB on November 2, 1926. He enlisted in the Army as soon as he turned 18 in 1944. He was a dedicated member of Last Post Legion Branch 410 and was president for two years. Norman passed away on February 14, 2007.
