365 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND TAYLOR, William C. R. William was born on March 22, 1948 in Stratford, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army in 1965 and served with Royal Canadian Regiment in Cyprus as a peacekeeper. He started out as an infanteer and became a tradesman. William qualified as a marksman but his trade was cook. He had some interesting experiences during his peace keeping tour in Cyprus and when he was told that he could expect another tour within a couple of years, he decided to return to civilian life in 1968. TENNANT, Keith T. Keith was born on September 19, 1920 in Leskard, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army on May 21, 1941 and served with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps in the United Kingdom, the Central Mediterranean and Continental Europe during World War II. During his service, he was shot in his left hand. He was discharged on October 17, 1945 and went on to work at General Motors before working as a long haul driver. Keith passed away on April 29, 1984. TENNANT, Bruce R. Bruce was born on June 20, 1923 in Leskard, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on September 3, 1941 and served as Leading Aircraftman in England during World War II. He was discharged on February 15, 1946. His medals include the Defense Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp. He married Enid Middleton in 1946 and had two sons. Bruce worked for General Motors for 39 years until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of Bowmanville Legion Branch 178 for 60 years. Bruce passed away on May 5, 2006.
