327 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND RUMBOLD, Delmer G. Delmer was born on July 23, 1916 in Petrolia, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force and served in Scotland, England and India during World War II. Delmer passed away on January 13, 2013. RUNDLE, Robert Joseph Robert was born on August 30, 1917 in Toronto, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1942 and served in England as an officer’s driver during World War II. While in England, Leading Aircraftman Rundle met Margaret Peacock, a widow with two children. She and her family travelled to Canada and settled in Queensville, ON with Robert and had six children. After the war, he worked for De Havilland for over 20 years. Robert passed away on February 12, 1978. RUMBOLD, Robert E. Robert was born on November 10, 1917. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army on January 7, 1941 and served with the 4th Field Regiment in England, Holland, Belgium, Italy and France during World War II. After his discharge in September 1945, he worked for Revenue Canada Customs and Excise until his retirement. He was a charter member of Brigden Legion Branch 635 for 10 years and served as Vice President as well as being on the Executive Committee. Robert passed away on March 29, 1995.
