321 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND ROBERTSON, Robert T. Robert was born in Cardinal, ON in 1898. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army on May 19, 1916 in Winchester, ON. He served with the 154th Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force as an infantryman during World War I. After completing training, he was shipped to England with the 154th Battalion before transferring to the Canadian 6th Reserve Battalion in East Sandling, England. He saw action in England and France. Robert was fortunate enough to recover from gas attacks and in February 1918, was transferred to the 53 District of the Canadian Forestry Corps Depot in Sunningdale, England. He returned to Canada on December 5, 1918 and was discharged on January 10, 1919 with the rank of Private. Robert was awarded the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. ROBINSON, William J. William was born on December 10, 1917 in North Bay, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on October 22, 1941 and served in No. 427 Squadron in Europe during World War II. Pilot Officer Robinson was discharged in September 1945. He was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defense Medal and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal. He was a member of Kapuskasing Legion Branch 85. William passed away on February 13, 2007. ROBINSON, John H. John was born on October 27, 1921 in North Bay, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force in September 1942 and served in Bomber Group 4, No. 77 Squadron in England during World War II. He flew 34 missions in his time with No. 77 Squadron. Flight Sergeant Robinson was discharged in October 1945 and was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the France and Germany Star, the Defense Medal, the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp, the 1939-45 War Medal and the Canadian Forces Decoration. He was a member of Kapuskasing Legion Branch 85 for over 35 years. John passed away on October 15, 1986.
