He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army and trained in Canada but was too young at the time to be sent overseas. He was a member of Central Muskoka Legion Branch 161. Hubert passed away on June 13, 1996. McMULLAN, Jeanette Jeanette was born on August 9, 1931 in Orangeville, ON. She enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army and served with the Canadian Women’s Army Corps in England after World War II. There, she met her husband, a Canadian career military man. McMULLAN, James T. James was born on May 20, 1924 in Toronto, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army in 1941 and served in Italy, France, England, and Holland. Due to his youth, an older soldier who had worked in the mines of northern Ontario took James under his wing. His stories of mining inspired James to become a mining engineer after he was discharged in 1945. James passed away on November 10, 2007.
