233 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND LINCEZ, Charles E. Charles was born in Shawinigan Falls, QC on August 14, 1916. He joined the Royal Canadian Air force in 1939 and served in England during World War II. Private Lincez was discharged in 1945 and was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp, the Defence Medal and the 1939-45 Star. He was a member of Kapuskasing Legion Branch 85 for over 50 years. Charles passed away on March 5, 1991. LINCEZ, Kevin D. Kevin was born on February 7, 1976 in Ottawa, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army on March 8, 1994 and served with the 3rd Canadian Division, 1st Battalion of the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry and on the 3rd Canadian Division Support Base in Edmonton. He did three tours in Bosnia-Herzegovina and served in Afghanistan. Warrant officer Lincez was the escorting officer for Sergeant John Wayne Faust when he was killed by an improvised explosive device in Afghanistan. Kevin accompanied his deceased friend from Kandahar to Trento, to Toronto and to the burial which took place in Sault St Marie. He was awarded the South West Asia Service Medal, the NATO Balkans Medal, the Peacekeeping Service Medal and the Canadian Forces Decoration. Kevin is still serving in the Royal Canadian Army. LINCEZ, Keith E. Keith was born on September 5, 1974 in Ottawa, ON. He joined the Royal Canadian Army in September 1993 and served as a Radio Operator at 1 Headquarters Signal Squadron in Calgary, with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry, with G-6 CFB Suffield and with the Lord Strathcona Horse Armoured Regiment. He saw action in Bosnia. Master Corporal Lincez was discharged in August 2009. Keith was awarded the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal, the NATO Bosnia Military Medal and the Canadian Forces Decoration.
