He came from a patriotic family, his father was a World War II veteran and his four brothers all served in the Royal Canadian Army. He joined the Royal Canadian Army, D Battery of the 2nd Royal Canadian Horse Artillery in 1981. This was an airborne component and Wayne loved the fact that he got to jump out of perfectly serviceable aircrafts. He was discharged in 1985. LEE, Jack Jack was born in Bradford, England on February 28, 1925. He enlisted in the Royal Navy on June 15, 1943 and served on HMS Pembroke, HMS Orwell, HMS Marlborough, and HMS Drake during World War II. He was discharged on May 29, 146 and was awarded the 1939-45 Star, the Atlantic Star, the Italy Star, and the 1939-45 War Medal. He was a member of Port Perry Legion Branch 419 for over 30 years and was President from 1976 to 1978. Jack passed away on June 11, 2000. LEE, Elmer W. Elmer was born on June 14, 1914 in Green Bank, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on September 11, 1942. He trained as an airplane mechanic in St Thomas, Trenton and Charlottetown but did not see active service. He was discharged on October 19, 1945. Elmer passed away on February 13, 2009.
