217 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND KRULICKI, Michael A. Michael was born on July 25, 1925 in Kitchener, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army on April 29, 1942 and served with the Irish Regiment of Canada in England and Italy during World War II. In August 1944, he was severely wounded during the Battle for the Gothic Line in Italy, resulting in the loss of his right leg. About 6 months later, he was fitted with a prosthesis and was discharged on May 23, 1945. He has been a member of the War Amputation’s of Canada since 1946 and was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal and the Meritorious Medal. Michael has been a member of Hepworth Legion Branch 586 for 10 years. LAFAVE, Brent L. Brent was born on June 5, 1952 in Cornwall, ON. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army on July 11, 1979 and served with the Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Highlanders as an infantry officer. He retired to the Supplementary Ready Reserve on April 25, 1998. Brent held various appointments within the Regiment: signal officer, adjutant, rifle platoon commander, rifle company commander, service support company commander. He also served as Deputy Commanding Officer from 1990 to 1994. He was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in 1994 and commanded the Regiment from 1994 to 1998. Brent had a 32 year career in Federal Law Enforcement with the Canada Border Services Agency, completing his service in the Criminal Investigations Division in 2013. He has been a member of Claude Nunney V.C. Memorial Legion Branch 544. LABELL, Jules Jules was born in Buckingham, QC on October 2, 1885. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army on April 9, 1915 and served with the Canadian Expeditionary Force, 38th Battalion in France during World War I. Jules was killed in action on November 18, 1916 in Courcelette, France. His remains were never found. His name is engraved on the Canadian National Vimy Memorial.
