He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force on February 2, 1943 and served in Canada, England, France and on the Continent. He was discharged on April 29, 1946. Percy received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Clasp, the 1939-45 Star and the France and Germany Star. He was Vice President and President of Wawa Legion Branch 429 as well as a Life Member for sixty years before he passed away on April 27, 2009. WATSON, Howard H. “Bud” Bud was born on July 12, 1925 in Toronto, Ontario. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force on August 21, 1943 and served as FLT/SGT air gunner with 427 Lion’s Squadron based at Leaming, Yorkshire. Bud was discharged on January 23, 1946. Upon returning to Canada he served on the Toronto and Goderich Police Forces and later joined the Province of Ontario’s Department of Labour. Following his retirement, he started a new career as a jeweller. Bud was a member of Lindsay Legion Branch 67 for eleven years before he passed away on January 23, 2014. WARNOCK, William George William was born in Southampton, Ontario on May 26, 1923. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Engineers on May 6, 1942 and transferred to the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps serving in Canada and England during World War II. He was discharged on June 25, 1945. William was a member of Chesley Legion Branch 144 for fifty years before he passed away on May 2, 2006.
