225 www.on.legion.ca ONTARIO COMMAND MITCHELL, Gerald I. Gerald was born in Oil Springs, Ontario on January 11, 1915. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Army and was based in Newfoundland, waiting to be dispatched overseas but the war ended before that could happen. On discharge, he owned and worked in the oil fields at Oil Springs, Ontario. Gerald died on August 9, 2007. MONAHAN, John A. John was born in Metcalfe, Ontario on September 29, 1919. He enlisted in the Canadian Army on May 20, 1941 and served in France and Germany during WWII. After his discharge on October 29, 1945, John worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway. He was a member of Trenton Legion Branch 110 for twenty years before he passed away on July 19, 1975. MOLYNEAUX, Robert A. W. Robert was born in Renfrew, Ontario on April 7, 1937. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals on April 19, 1961 and served as a signalman with NATO Forces in Northwest Europe. He has served at these locations: Toronto, London, Kingston, Ottawa, North Bay and Trenton, Ontario; Edmonton, Calgary and Wainwright, Alberta; Yorkton, Saskatchewan; Halifax, Nova Scotia; and Soest, Germany. He retired on July 18, 1992 as a Group Chief Warrant Officer and was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration 2, the NATO Medal for Northwest Europe and the Jubilee Medal. Robert has been a member of Temagami Legion Branch 408 for twenty-two years.
