Wilderness Survival Guide 81 The Barrington chapter of Nova Scotia Ground Search and Rescue serves Shelburne County in the southwest region of the province. We keep involved in the community through parades, parking for various events, traffic control, and annual raffle fundraisers. The heartbeat of our team is to save lives, and we actively pursue that mission through: searcher training both in the classroom and in the field; command bus training in radios and computers; ICT training; First Aid and outdoor survival skills training; the Hug-a-Tree program in local schools; and Project Lifesaver.
