Wilderness Survival Guide 101 Musquodoboit Valley Ground Search and Rescue (MVGSAR) was founded in 1983 and we are still searching. Times have changed over the years and we still have three active original members; one being the "Founder". We celebrated our 38th anniversary in June 2021. Being located in the middle of Nova Scotia "MUSQUODOBOIT VALLEY" and as a rural community, we are always looking for new members. We are currently moving our Command from an old bus into a trailer. We normally train twice a month and have one monthly meeting. Our Team has supported our local Scout Troop and 4H groups with "hands on" training exercises (having fun and recruiting). We have set up and executed a four Zone Team training exercise with excellent outcomes. We are a small team but always ready to respond and assist our neighbouring teams when called and we have good relations with them all. MVGSAR is moving forward....
