He was the son of Trueman and Daisy Raymond. Private Raymond enlisted on 27 Nov 1941 at Kentville, N.S. He completed his basic training at Camp #60 CABTC Yarmouth, N.S. between 6 Feb 1941 and 8 April 1942 and his advanced training at Aldershot, N.S. He proceeded overseas with the North Nova Scotia Highlanders, embarking at Halifax on 2 June 1942 and disembarking in the U.K. on 13 June 1942. He served in England until 6 June 1944 and was killed in action during the invasion of Normandy. Private Ralph Burton Tuttle, North Nova Scotia Highlanders, RCIC Ralph was born 17 Jan 1916 in Salem, Cumberland County, N.S. He was the son of Burton and Gertrude Tuttle of Amherst, N.S. Private Tuttle enlisted 16 Mar 1941 in Amherst, N.S. and served in Canada until 18 July 1941 when he went overseas arriving in Avonmouth U.K. on 31 July 1941. Private Tuttle served and trained in England until 6 June 1944 when he was killed in action during the invasion of Normandy.
