WILLIAMS, Francis E. “Frank” Service Number: 382 Born in Pouch Cove, NL on September 25, 1918. Served with the Newfoundland Overseas Forestry Unit Scottish Home Guard from 1941 to 1942. Posted at Abby St. Batten, Berwickshire Scotland and deployed to Northern Scotland. He was awarded the Defense medal and Forestry badge. Frank was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 4 Pouch Cove. DECEASED: January 8, 2002 and buried at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Colliers. DECEASED: 1992 and buried at Assumption Cemetery in Avondale. He is honoured with his name on the War Memorial in Avondale and a plaque in the Avondale church. Newfoundland Labrador Command
