He enlisted with the Royal Newfoundland Regiment on September 2, 1914; British Mediterranean Expeditionary Force, August 10, 1915; British Expeditionary Force, March 14, 1916; Evacuated to hospital on July 15, 1917; Rejoined the Battalion on October 14, 1917; Wounded, Mesnières, December 3, 1917; Invalided to England, December 9, 1917; Attached to Depot, Ayr, February 18, 1918; Embarked for Newfoundland, furlough, July 12, 1918; Demobilized to St. John’s, February 15, 1919. DECEASED: November 6, 1947 WADE, Pte Francis Service # 4709 Born in Avondale, NL on February 2, 1896. Served with the Royal Newfoundland Regiment. Posted in France, Belgium, and Germany. Served from April 25, 1918 to June 29, 1919. Awarded the Victory Medal and the British War Medal. DECEASED WINSOR, Hedley G. O. Service # 5066 Hedley G. O. Winsor was born in Wesleyville, Newfoundland on November 25, 1896. He served with the Royal Newfoundland Regiment. He was a member of Eastport Branch # 41 of The Royal Canadian Legion. DECEASED: October 13, 1977.
