WHITE, Richard Service # 2354 Born in Bacon Cove. Served for The Royal Newfoundland Regiment from March 29, 1916 to April 21, 1917. Embarked in St. John’s on SS Sicilian on July 19, 1916. Killed in action and was listed in the Beaumont-Hamel Memorial in Somme, France. WOODFORD, Michael J. Service # 614 Born in Harbour Main in 1886. Served with The Newfoundland Regional Naval Reserve from August 4, 1914 to June 15, 1919. Received the British War Medal, Victory Medal and 1914-1915 Star. Passed away in 1965.
