He is deceased. CLEARY, Bernard Service # 1359 Born in Harbour Main on July 4, 1897. Served with The Royal Newfoundland Regiment from April 18, 1915 to July 1, 1916. Killed in action at the Battle of Beaumont Hamel. COLBOURNE, Arthur Frederick “Fred” Service # 444 Served with The Royal Newfoundland Regiment (Blue Puttee). Was wounded by grenade or mortar fragments at the Broembeke in August 1917. Shrapnel started to move in August 1962 and he passed away in his sleep in September 1962. He was the first President of Bishops Falls Branch 2 of The Royal Canadian Legion.
