She deployed to the Canadian Forces Station in Alert and received a Special Service Medal, she also received the CD with 1st Clasp. Karen was presented a Quilt of Valour for her service. DUGGAN, Edward Born in St. John’s on May 8, 1982. Served with the Royal Canadian Navy from 1999 to December 2013 as a Weapons Technician. AREA POSTED: Halifax, NS. Edward is a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 64 Conception Bay Central. CAKE, George Service # 3606 Born in Lamaline Placentia Bay on August 8, 1941. Served with the Canadian Army from December 16, 1958 to 1992. AREAS POSTED: Alberta, Ontario, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland & Labrador, Germany and Cyprus. He was presented the NATO Medal, Peacekeeping, Queen’s Jubilee and the CD. He was also awarded the Minister of Veterans Affair Commendation.
