He was shipped to England for additional training at Dover. He joined the 59th Newfoundland Heavy Regiment Royal Artillery and went on through Holland into Germany until the war ended. BAIRD, Elmo Born in Northern Arm on March 7, 1920. Served with the Royal Canadian Air Force as the Maintenance/Repair Tech. Areas Served In: England, Iraq, Shaiba, Jordan, Palestine, Israel, Egypt, Italy and Yugoslavia. He has been a member of The Royal Canadian Legion for over 70 years. BAKER, Joseph Raymond Service # F66584 Born on February 13, 1919 in Marystown. Served with the Canadian Army - Royal Canadian Engineers - Rank: Sapper from August 21, 1942. Areas Served In: Central Mediterranean, United Kingdom and Continental Europe. He was discharged on November 14, 1945. DECEASED: April 16, 1999
