Francis Stapleton Francis Stapleton was born in Marystown, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland. He enlisted in the 59th Newfoundland Heavy Regiment, Royal Artillery in 1940. He was discharged in 1945. William Saunders Service #: JX216777 Wi l l iam Saunders was born in Point Leamington, Newfoundland in 1917. He served with the Royal Navy from 29th July, 1940 to 1st March, 1945. He passed away in 1997. He was a member of Windsor Branch # 49 of The Royal Canadian Legion.
