He was wounded by grenade or mortar fragments at the Broembeke in August of 1917. Shrapnel started to move in August of 1962 and he passed away in his sleep in September of 1962. He was the first President of Bishops Falls Branch # 02 of The Royal Canadian Legion. Robert Clarke Service #: 1339X Robert Clarke was born in Bishops Cove, Newfoundland. He served with the Navy from 1914 – 1918. He is deceased.
