He is presently a member of Cpl. M. Brazil Branch #9 of The Royal Canadian Legion. Cyril Linfield Pelley Service #: LTJX280557 Cyril Pelley was born in 1918 in Shoal Harbour, Newfoundland. He joined the Newfoundland Overseas Forestry Unit in 1940 and while serving in Scotland he transferred to the Royal Navy from where he served until 1945. He passed away in July, 1973. Edward Power Service #: 1177 Edward Power was born on 5th June, 1906 on Pelley’s Island, Newfoundland. He served with the Newfoundland Overseas Forestry Unit from November, 1941 to July, 1942. He passed away on 5th September, 1983.
