He was one of the three men from Grand Falls/Windsor who were lost when the Cruiser HMS Galatea was torpedoed in the Mediterranean. Ariel Francis King Service #: JX 242227 Ariel Francis King was born on 4th January, 1920 in St. Jones Within, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland. He served with the Royal Navy from 7th January, 1941 to 14th April, 1946. He passed away on 15th April, 1976. Mark King Service #: F 91311 Mark King was born on 14th September, 1924 in St. Joseph’s, Newfoundland. He served with the Royal Canadian Engineers from 1943 - 1945.
