He passed away in 1977. Hubert J. Freake Service #: 971915 Hubert J. Freake was born on 11th August, 1921 on Fogo Island, Newfoundland. He served with the 166th (Nfld) Field Regiment, R.A. from 1943 to 1945. He served in the Italian Campaign. He was awarded the following medals for service - 39 - 45 Star; Italian Star; Defence Medal and the Nfld Volunteer Service Medal and War Medal 39 - 45. He is presently a member of Botwood Branch #5 of The Royal Canadian Legion.
