Melissa McBain and Katie Mulcahy held a wonderful Lunch and Learn Information Session at the Ugpi’ganjig Health Centre. Fifteen women between the ages of 19 and 70 arrived to learn about Intimate Partner Violence and resources in the community. The women who attended were happy that the community was shining a light on an issue that is usually hidden behind closed doors. After the event, women were given a paper heart, and were encouraged to write positive messages to others who might be struggling in the community, and enjoyed a spaghetti feast! Quinze femmes âgées de 19 à 70 ans sont venues s'informer sur la violence exercée par le partenaire intime et les ressources disponibles dans la communauté. Les femmes qui ont assisté étaient heureuses que la communauté ait mis en lumière un problème généralement caché. Après l'événement, les femmes ont reçu un cœur de papier et ont été encouragées à écrire des messages positifs à d'autres personnes qui pourraient avoir des difficultés dans la communauté et ont organisé un festin de spaghetti!
