Moore, Canadian Army. Bob worked for Fred J. Watts on Main Street before the war. He served with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps in England, Italy, and North-West Europe. Bob remained in the military until retiring in 1965 with the rank of Major and having been awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration. Bob moved to Ottawa in 1957 and lived there until his death. After retiring from the military, he worked for the Canadian Department of Supply and Services until he retired in 1978. Bob died in Ottawa in 1998. Bob had two sisters, Verna and Audrey, who served in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Verna also married an RCAF pilot. Le capitaine Robert G.V. Moore, Armée canadienne. Bob travaillait pour Fred J. Vincent Mudge, Royal Canadian Corps of Signals. Vince joined the militia in 1931 and trained with No. 1 Company, 6th Division Signals, as a signalman. In 1932, after graduation from St. Vincent’s High School he qualified as a Sergeant at Camp Aldershot, NS. In 1940 Vince went on active service with 2nd No. 4 (Reserve) Fortress Signal Company, serving until 1946. After the war Vince remained with the militia Signal Company, retiring as the Regimental Quarter Master Sergeant. At the same time Vince played a drum in the artillery band. In 1946 Vince started J.V. Mudge Theatrical Equipment on Winter Street, which became a well-known local company providing costumes, stage props, sound, and lighting equipment to theatrical productions in the greater Saint John area.
