POGUE, Albert David WWII Albert was born in McGregor, Manitoba on June 14, 1926. He enlisted in the Army (service number H28679) in Winnipeg on December 1, 1944 and served with the CIC in Canada during World War II. Private Albert Pogue was discharged in Winnipeg on April 10, 1946 and received the Service Medal. He and his wife Dorothy Sarah had one daughter, Leslie. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Flin Flon Branch 73. Albert passed away on July 24, 2007 and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery. His service number was B-55385. WHITE, Frank WWI Private Frank White was born in Montreal on May 8, 1893. He enlisted in the Army in Montreal on June 5, 1916 and served with the C.A.A. 24 Battalion in France during World War I. He was discharged in Montreal on May 19, 1919 and received the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. His service number was 919718. WHITE, OrvilleWesley WWII Orville was born in Owen Sound, Ontario on January 25, 1923. He enlisted in the Navy in London, Ontario on February 14, 1944 and served in Europe with the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve during World War II. He was discharged on March 12, 1946. Orville received the Service Medal. He and his wife Eleanor May had three children: Nancy Clare, Marjorie Helen and Martin. WHITMORE, Howard Frank WWII Howard was born in Dauphin, Manitoba on June 12, 1919. He enlisted in the Army with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry in Winnipeg in March 1942 and served in the British Isles during World War II. He was discharged in Winnipeg on May 26, 1946 and received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and the Defence Medal. His service number was H-17905. He and his wife Violet had two children, John and Shirley. WIEBE, John WWII John, service number L-110773, served in the Army with the C.A.A. in Canada during World War II. He was discharged on May 2, 1946. WILLOUGHBY (McKINNON), Edith WWII Edith was born in Springfield, Nova Scotia. She served as a Sergeant with the Canadian Women’s Army Corps in Canada during World War II. Her service number was W-60037. She passed away on June 6, 1952, at the age of 32 and is buried at Ross Park Cemetery in Flin Flon. WILLOX, Robert James WWII Robert was born in Hartney, Manitoba. He enlisted in the Navy in Chippawa on June 12, 1941 and served with the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve in Canada and on the High Seas during World War II.
