He enlisted in the Navy in Winnipeg on July 7, 1941 and served with the RCNVR in England, India, Burma, Africa and Malta during World War II. He spent four and a half months in a military hospital in Durban, South Africa with malaria. Stoker 1st Class James Pico was discharged in Winnipeg on August 10, 1945. His wife was Evora Mabel. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Flin Flon Branch 73. James passed away on November 30, 2014. PINDER, Donald Edward WWII Donald was born in Regina, Saskatchewan on April 19, 1927. He enlisted in the Navy (service number E22534) in Regina in 1945 and served on the High Seas as a Stoker during World War II. He was discharged in Victoria in 1947. He and his wife Doreen had one son, James Donald, and two daughters, Sharon Marie and Colleen Teresa. POLLOCK, Robert S. WWII Robert was born in Paisley, Scotland on March 31, 1906. He enlisted in the Navy in Saskatoon on July 13, 1943 and served with the RCNVR on HMCS Protector II in Canada during World War II. He was discharged in Esquimalt on September 24, 1945. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Flin Flon Branch 73.
