He enlisted in the Army in Winnipeg on January 15, 1942 and served with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles in the United Kingdom and Europe during World War II. Lieutenant Gordon Naylor was discharged in Winnipeg on February 14, 1946. He received the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal and Clasp and the War Medal 1939-1945. He and his wife Edith Elma had two sons, Marvin Glenn and Morley Gordon. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Flin Flon Branch 73. Gordon passed away on October 9, 2008. NELSON, Walter James WWII Walter was born in Winnipegosis, Manitoba on June 11, 1922. He enlisted in the Army in Winnipegosis on June 12, 1941 and served with the 18th Armoured Car in the United Kingdom and in Europe during World War II. Trooper Walter Nelson was discharged in Winnipeg on January 19, 1946. He and his wife Betty had three children: Carl, Lana and Lois. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Flin Flon Branch 73. Walter passed away on December 27, 1984. NEWTON, George C. George was born in Chester-le-Street, Durham, England. He enlisted in the Army in Newcastle in 1916 and served with the RCE until his discharge in York, England in 1923. He and his wife Kathryn had two daughters, Helen Mary and Elizabeth Mae. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Flin Flon Branch 73.
